Having heard the quote for the umpteenth time at a recent breakfast event it got me thinking about FOCUS… and whilst theres a very tenuous link between a one eyed man and focus it reminded me of how we have been able to become laser focused with our marketing through segmentation and through pixelling using Facebook and Google re-marketing/targeting how we are able to keep engagement with those who have visited our websites and in particular only show relevant adverts and images to them based on their interests shown (pages/products visited)
A classic example of this is how we use this in magazine wholesale business where we are able to segment retailers by their retail category (Angling shops, Equestrian centres, Craft shops, Garden centres etc… and send them specific sequenced emails and direct mail that is purpose built for that niche… and on our e-commerce sites only showing them content for individual product they have viewed should we wish.
So if your not segmenting your list, have pixelling and custom audiences set up on your sites/ social media advert platforms then you should ask your web and PPC (pay-per click) team to sort that for you… If you don’t have anyone for those services, or get a blank look from your web guy/girl and want to be put in touch with the people we use.. just ask and the team and I would be happy to hook you up.
