Is Your Business Worthy of an Award?
Entries are now being accepted for the Derby Telegraph Business Awards.
And the announcement certainly got me thinking about how having an award under your belt can do wonders for your business.
Imagine writing ‘we’re an award-winning business’ in your marketing material – now that’s what you call effective. How many businesses can say they’re award-winning – not that many.
The awards were held for the first time last year and were a roaring success. Run in conjunction with Champions (UK) plc, they aim to recognise and reward the best businesses in the country (not just in Derby by the way.)
And yours could be one of them.
It doesn’t matter if your business is big, small, sales based, marketing based, not for profit, or any other. All businesses of all shapes and sizes are recognised.
The awards are a reminder to the whole country (that means your potential customers), that we live in a great place to do business.
They’ll bring in cameras, interviews and a whole lot of showbiz , which means a lot of publicity for those exceptional businesses.
Any opportunity for your business to shine is a good one, but imagine being recognised nationally at being good at what you do.
Now that would be something.
Now we’re not saying that just any business could win one, we all know that a lot of hard work and dedication is required.
But why don’t you put yourself out there and find out if you’re up to the bill? You never know, the next award winning business could be yours…
So spend 30 mins this week setting out a plan of which awards you could enter and plan some time in the diary to get the entries sorted… or find someone who can help.. copywriters are usually a good resource for this.
