Whet my appetite!

Tea, strawberries and cream, Yorkshire pudding. When you think of “typically British” foods, these normally come to mind, right?

It’s no secret that we’re a nation of foodies. Sunday Roasts, Bangers and Mash, Toad in the Hole – we love a Great British dinner and those good old home comforts. It’s making my mouth water just thinking about it!

And when we go abroad, the food just isn’t the same.

Well…maybe the tide is turning in our favour!

I was browsing Buzzfeed the other day (on my lunch break of course!) and came across some photographs of the “British” aisle in an American and Australian supermarket.

We spied Digestive biscuits, salad cream, custard and Ribena – if that doesn’t scream quintessentially British..!

Okay; so maybe they’ve not quite got all our favourites, but it’s a step in the right direction.

After all; I don’t know about you – but I can’t go a day without a good cup of tea (and a few biscuits to dunk!)

OK.. just the two digestives for me then
